For protecting your computer against all kinds of malwares, you must first get rid of all junks in your computer.
Getting rid of junk files.
- Go to "My Computer" (or "Computer", in Windows Vista)
- Right-click on the main drive (the on you have installed Windows, usually "C"), and choose "Proprieties"
- On Vista you may get a window that ask's what you from want to cleanup (if you are the administrator, choose "Files from all users on this computer", if not, choose "My files only" (like in image 1.0)
- On XP, you will get directly to the cleaning window, after the system calculates what can it clean up (like in the image 1.1)
- We recommend to mark all then press "OK" button, but you can choose what you want or not to delete
- After it finisher up deleting, you will get a notice, and then you can move to the next step of this tutorial.
You may recover even GB of space, and it's a thing that you can do it at least once per month.
